Sound Nutrition

It is a proven fact that there is a direct link between dietary habits and disease.  It is amazing to think that 90% of Americans do not eat 5 serving of fruit and vegetables a day.  Do you? 

Fruits and vegetables contain vital nutrients that can insure us optimum health.  We must always remeber, you either reape the benefits or suffer the consequences.

Good nutrition tips!

  • Buy organic!
  • Avoid ALL processed food
  • Eat a variety of fruits & veggies (a variety of colors!)
  • Try steaming veggies instead of boiling or frying.

Exercise

Exercise is key to staying healthy.  Our bodies are meant to be in motion.  NOT to live a sedentary lifestyle.  Exercise can and should be fun.  It doesn't have to be in a formal gym.  Gardening, swimming in your pool, biking or taking a stroll at the park are all excellent ways of keeping our bodies in motion,and  these activities are fun!

Benefits of exercising-

  • Reduces the risk of obesity
  • Reduces the risk of heart disease
  • Reduces the risk of high blood pressure
  • Improves self esteem!
